Halloween Dance Sierra Vista, AZ 1968 Our lead singer, Mike Canter, had a crew cut at that period so he showed up with this cool wig. ha ha. Love it. That's good friend Randy Brauer on bass and me in background with "beloved Fender Jaguar" of previous pic. It had a "troll doll" hanging from the stock of guitar not shown in pic - Hey, what the heck kind of pants are those I'm wearing?!? Plaid?!? Ha ha! Oh wow, I just noticed another guitar stock peeking in far left of picture - who was that? Tom Peru?
Halloween Dance Sierra Vista, AZ 1968 This is the reverse side of the above pic showing how I even then (as now) meticulously date EVERYTHING. ;) This is amazing because I only arrived in Sierra Vista June 1967 so it didn't take long to get in a band. By the next year we were rockin'. One of my best memories of Mike Canter is him playing a song in his bedroom for me I'd never heard before by the Troggs - "From Home" - I love that song like crazy and always think of him when I hear it or think about it.
