Do the same with D. ********************************** Master Class 6 Color Hearing Technic Exercise: 1. Unlocking Technic: Maj./Min.2nds - any two white tones harmonically; sing from bottom up; Pass with one Verification Round ETC equivalent: First set Pitch>Identification Level to 6, then go to: Harmony>Pitch Acuity Drills>Seconds 2. Unlock any two tones with one hand only (black or white) sing from bottom up, then check. Pass with one Verification Round ETC equivalent: First set Pitch>Identification Level to 12, then go to: Harmony>Pitch Acuity Drills>Two Notes 3. Unlock wide tones: reach out with two tones that are more spaced out (i.e. greater than an octave). Sing and check.(register and interval unimportant). Pass with one Verification Round ETC equivalent: First set Pitch>Identification Level to 12, then go to: Harmony>Pitch Acuity Drills>Two Notes Spread 4. Unlock any 3 tones with one hand (i.e. within one octave) Pass with one Verification Round ETC equivalent: First set Pitch>Identification Level to 12, then go to: Harmony>Pitch Acuity Drills>Three Notes 5. Unlock any 3 tones wide: (2 tones in one hand and 1 tone in the other hand); sing and check Pass with one Verification Round ETC equivalent: First set Pitch>Identification Level to 12, then go to: Harmony>Pitch Acuity Drills>Three Notes Spread Always take the time to listen and sing consciously. The magic formula: "Keep listening, keep listening, keep listening and listen gently........" Ear Training Meditation Technics: This time we think the tone before we sing it. Check it. If incorrect, compare the two notes. Always take the time to compare. Think it, sing it, check it and compare if incorrect. 15 minutes a day on these Team Players: 1. Melodic & Harmonic Pitch Identification for C & D One person plays C or D and the other person names it. One Verification Round 2. One person plays two tones together and name them from bottom up ( a 2nd or 7th); only C & D One Verification Round Master Class 7 Solo Keyboard Drill: Without looking at the keyboard play any white tone anywhere and then name that tone. Ear Training Companion equivalent: Pitch>Identification Level>6 Solo Meditation Drill with C,D,E Before beginning any Ear Training, think of a C and sing it; check ourselves. Correct our error and listen to the two tones. Master Class 8 Melodic 3rd Pitch Identification Drill Play melodically and identify them (not looking at the keyboard of course). Start with ascending melodic 3rds with one verification round. Then decending melodically 3rds. One Verication round. Then harmonic 3rds We're not singing, only listening and identifying them. Meditation Drill C,D,E,F Choose any of the 4 tones. Think the tone and sing it. Check it. Then another tone etc. This time you must use a verification round. AP Home Page
